In the late-50s TWA hired an illustrator named David Klein to begin producing a series of travel posters. By the late 60s he had completed more than 100. They were colorful, playful and exciting--exactly what travel was meant to be. Today they represent the quintessential image of the modern travel poster and are highly sought after.
This piece was for the German market, advertising the 1964 World's Fair in New York.
