For the 1972 Olympic campaign, Otl Aicher pressed high-energy colors, borrowed from 60s pop and psychadelia, into the service of German modernism to create this stunning visual identity program. Each piece in the series is an intense flash, capturing the moment just before the climax of physical effort. Aicher's campaign represents one of the seminal moments in the history of modern design.
This piece shows one crease across the bottom of the poster and small area of discoloration in the lower right corner.
