About
I’ve always been a fan of good design. I’ve especially been a fan of the poster, that most public and democratic of advertising vehicles. Over the years I’ve amassed fair amount of them and, now, have built this site to sell them on to other fans and collectors.
These are all original, vintage posters from my personal collection and in most cases, I only own one example of the piece in question. In building this collection, I sought out posters primarily from the 60s and 70s representing the best of that period’s modern design sensibility.
In the SPORT section, you’ll find Otl Aicher’s landmark series for the 1972 summer Olympics in Munich. Designed in 1970, they still look astoundingly fresh today. In the TRAVEL section you’ll find airline posters by the legendary David Klein, including his absolutely stunning TWA New York. These are touchstones of an era in which expanding travel opportunities and prosperity for the middle class mixed with social upheaval to redefine art, design and popular culture itself. The past was being let go in favor of the new. Everything was being questioned and redefined. This fueled an incredible creative boom, which has influenced styles to this very day.
I hope you’ll enjoy the site.
